Most Popular Bodybuilding Exercises

By Trevor Johnson

Some of the same body-building exercises that folks are doing today are the same exercises that folks have been doing for many years. They remain a part of the exercise routines because they are working for the sportsmen that employ them. They can work for you as well if you take the challenge.

Deadlifts

There are only a few exercises that work as well as the Romanian deadlift; there are few lifting exercises that you are going to hate as much. If anybody ever tells you the deadlift is a simple exercise they're not being utterly fair with you. The undeniable fact that it happens to be one of the few exercises that workout your lumbar region to the fullest, it is one that you really can't avoid. It might not be a simple exercise, but you'll be grateful that you probably did it.

Barbell Squats

The barbell squat is one of 1 or 2 muscle-building exercises that have their fans and people who will recommend you pass on it. The controversy is a "how low are you able to go" query. Some will make it obvious that if you would like to protect your knees then you want to stay parallel, while others will go a bit lower. The knee issues are a case of strategy and not how far down you go. You can talk with pro body-builders who never had knee issues, but that squat all of the way down.

Heavy Bench Press

There's no exercise warmer than the bench press when making a reference to bodybuilder exercises. They have been around forever and they're going to remain right where they are. It is not just because it's an effective exercise, but because weight lifters and weight lifters are extremely competitive. Bragging about how much they can bench press is a point of pride for them. Muscles develop fast and the chest gets a much wanted workout. There really is nothing bad that anybody can say about the bench press.

Bent Over Rows

The bent over row is another exercise which has been about for a long time. The bad news is just the back can suffer with a difficulty thanks to the positioning and as it is left exposed. Be cautious when you do the bent over row so that you are not being hurt, but it's one of the few muscle building exercises that are helpful for your back.
